Keepsake: Programming

With everything connected, it’s time to test the code that will load the pictures on the microSD, and display them on the 2.8″ TFT display. If any issues arise, I’ll be able to trace everything with ease, and can use the Arduino IDE to view the Serial Monitor for errors.

Motorcycle Picture Frame: Finished Product

The motorcycle picture frame is finally complete. The project was centered around the electronics, and designed with our motorcycles in mind. The stage is set, and pictures are cycling through the TFT display.

Motorcycle Picture Frame: Programming

This has multiple parts, each contributing to the displays. The simplest being the microSD breakout board to provide the pictures for the TFT display, and the other being the RTC module providing the date and time for the OLED display. Additionally, the pictures on the microSD have to be loaded and looped for display.

Jewelry Box: Components Complete

There are two factors to making this sketch complete:

if it isn’t broken, don’t fix it, and
don’t reinvent the wheel, if all you need is new tread

The example sketches provide much of what I want to do, and they work in the way I need for my jewelry box; refer back to the two points! With the exception of a few changes to function calls, and minor code addition, the majority of the sketch is a copy/paste from example sketches.

Jewelry Box: The Sum of Its Parts

All the parts are coming together, and it’s best to keep each working sketch separate along the way, until it’s time to piece them together. Using the example sketches, which already perform the tasks I want, I’ll strip the parts I need, and put it to use in my final sketch.
